Is Billy Corgan the mastermind behind swine flu?

One of the best things about the internet and rock stars is the window the former opens on the hilariously bizarre lives of the latter. Exhibit A: Billy Corgan. You remember when I told you about Corgan's absurdly awesome commercial for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling? Now our favourite '90s alt-rock god has posted a dissertation on "the propaganda machine" of swine flu and the American government. I love you, Billy. You make my work days oh-so entertaining.

In the post on his spiritual website, Everything From Here to There, Corgan explains why he won't be taking the H1N1 vaccine. "I have read reports from people who say (as doctors) that there is evidence to suggest this virus was created by man," he writes. "If the virus comes to take me Home, that is between me and the Lord."

Fair enough, there's logic to his advocating "calm, open debate and logical thought" over scare tactics that perpetuate fear of "a virus or an unseen enemy", but he also goes on to say he questions God's existence, only to claim that the ability to doubt is a faculty given to us by God to strengthen our faith.
