Andy Bull is a singer/songwriter from Sydney known for his distinctively sweet voice and soulful melodies. Bull grew up under the influence of his father who played piano in Dixieland bands and had a collection of keyboards in the house. Encouraged at a young age by his parents to learn an instrument, Bull began learning piano but quit soon after because he "hated practising". Fortunately, he rediscovered the piano at age 12 and has been an aficionado ever since.
Andy Bull's debut album We're Too Young (2009) has been seven years in the making. Produced by Tony Buchen, the album was recorded in Sydney's 301 Studios and mixed in Jimi Hendrix's famous Electric Lady Studios. His signing to Island Records in 2008 marked the end of a long and difficult time for Bull, with personal problems and funding the album by working two jobs making it seem as if his dreams would never eventuate.
Since signing to Island Records however, things have been on the up and up. Bull has toured extensively across Australia with bands including Little Red and The Holidays, converting a legion of gig goers with his beautiful voice and heartfelt lyrics. His first single 'Small Town Girl' was widely successful and saw Bull bewitching more audiences on tour with artists including Lisa Mitchell, Duffy and Donavon Frankenreiter.
